Keyshawn Davis and Gustavo Lemos are gearing up for a significant non-title lightweight battle as Top Rank reveals the two will headline a November 8th card that will further feature WBO welterweight champion, Brian Norman Jr., defend his title for the first time against Puerto Rican contender Derrieck Cuevas.

American starlet Keyshawn Davis (11-0, 7 KO’s) will be continuing to make a name on the big stage as he prepares to face tough Argentinian contender Gustavo Lemos (29-1, 19 KO’s), best known for his performance against another American prospect, super lightweight (140 lbs) contender Richardson Hitchins (18-0, 7 KO’s) who the Argentinian lost to by a controversial unanimous decision (UD).

Notably, Lemos will be moving down to lightweight (135 lbs) for this fight, giving a steep advantage to Davis who will be fighting in his normal weight compared to Lemos who will be forced to re-accustom himself to a division he hasn’t fought in since he stopped the now-retired British contender Lee Selby in 2022.

Thus far, Keyshawn Davis has had an excellent year, netting two solid wins in February and July, with the former fight ending in a stoppage win over Puerto Rican veteran Jose Pedraza (29-6-1, 14 KO’s).

Featuring in the co-main event of the Top Rank card will be a world title bout between recently-promoted American WBO welterweight (147 lbs) champion Brian Norman Jr. (26-0, 20 KO’s) and Puerto Rican contender Derrieck Cuevas (27-1-1, 19 KO’s). It will be the inaugural title defense for Norman Jr. since being elevated from interim champion to WBO world champion.

Further complementing the show will be Nigerian heavyweight (200+ lbs) contender Efe Ajagba (20-1, 14 KO’s), who does not yet have an opponent, and several other prospects will compete including American prospects Keon Davis—younger sibling of Keyshawn Davis—who will be making his pro debut at welterweight, and Abdullah Mason (15-0, 13 KO’s) who will be continuing his career at lightweight against the non-ranked Dominican contender Yohan Vazquez (26-5, 21 KO’s).
