Background
Though not very distinguished, Yerbossynuly was a competitive amateur and had several close-runs in the finals, ending up losing in only the quarter- or semi-final of various tournaments, primarily in the Kazakh National Championships. He became a profesional in 2015.
Accomplishments
Aidos Yerbossynuly years following his debut as a Super Middleweight in 2015 went fairly under the radar – as he built up an unbeaten winning streak, until 2018 when he won the WBC-ABC Continental belt as his first title. He continued on from there, winning two more international titles (WBA International and WBO Global) over the next two years.
In 2022, Yerbossynuly’s efforts came to fruition in a world title bout for the WBA (regular) world title against WBA holder David Morrell. Unfortunately, his match against Morrell ended up in a gruesome knockout loss in the last round of the fight.
