Teiken Promotions and Amazon Prime Video have been working together for roughly two years to bring the best of the boxing world to Japanese audiences. Now, the partnership is finally bearing fruit with a series of exciting events coming up in 2023.

The collaboration between Amazon Prime Video, Top Rank and Japanese promotion, Teiken Promotions, was first announced in November of 2021, and officially launched when Gennady Golovkin fought Ryota Murata on December 29th. With all parties committed to providing the best possible boxing experiences to Japanese audiences, the agreement has allowed for more high-quality boxing events to be streamed live, showcasing the skills of some of the most talented fighters from around the world, and especially Japan.

One of the upcoming events that is generating a lot of excitement is the highly anticipated return of Tenshin Nasukawa (0-0) to the boxing ring after his last exhibition boxing bout took place in December of 2021. Tenshin, who is known for his quick feet and lightning-fast punches, is set to take on a formidable opponent in what promises to be an epic clash. Boxing fans in Japan will be able to watch this event live on Amazon Prime Video, with the fight set to take place on the undercard of the Kenshiro Teraji (20-1, 12 KO’s) vs. Jonathan Gonzalez (27-3-1, 14 KO’s) main event on May 15th, 2023 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

The fight between Tenshin and his opponent, who was revealed to be Bantamweight competitor Yuki Yonaha (12-4-1, 8 KO’s), is expected to be a high-stakes affair. Tenshin is no stranger to the limelight, having won numerous titles in kickboxing and MMA. However, he has only recently made the transition to boxing, and he will be eager to prove himself in the ring against what many would consider mid-tier opposition.

The partnership between Teiken Promotions and Amazon Prime Video has helped to bring more high-profile events to Japan in recent years. The boxing world has taken notice, with the country now seen as a key destination for fighters and promoters looking to showcase their skills on the world stage. One of the key events to take place in 2023 involves a Super Bantamweight title bout between unified champion Stephen Fulton (21-0, 8 KO’s), and former undisputed Bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue (24-0, 21 KO’s).
