Accomplishments

Lacking an amateur background, Firat Arslan made his debut in 1997. While failing to during his first (domestic) title opportunity for the German Cruiserweight belt in 2001, Arslan finally captured his first title (German International) in 2003. In the subsequent years – despite succumbing to a loss and draw – Arslan kept a winning form where he won several titles.

In 2007, after going through a title eliminator fight and grabbing the interim version WBA World Cruiserweight title, he was promoted towards not long after and he retained his title a further two times before losing to challenger Panamian Guillermo Jones in 2008.

Firat Arslan was far from done, despite facing another setback loss right after his lost title match, and he had a couple of winning streaks while also losing to Marco Huck twice in 2012 and 2014 while challenging for his former WBO world title. While also failing to win another world title in 2014 against Yoan Pablo Hernandez, Arslan continued to pick up titles in the years after. He drew with fellow veteran Sefer Seferi in 2018, and lost to IBO world champion Kevin Lerena in 2020. He quickly shrugged off the loss with three KO wins in 2021.
