Background
Frank Sánchez regularly competed internationally as an amateur. He participated in competitions such as the Youth & Junior World Championships, the semi-pro World Series of Boxing and the Cuban National Championships, the latter in which he won in 2015. He would go on to have moderate success as an amateur, despite never competing in the Olympics.

Accomplishments
Frank Sánchez had a confident start to his career after making his debut as a heavyweight in 2017, recording an impressive number of easy wins and even managing to win 10 successive bouts in 2018 alone.
In 2021 he faced his first real test in Nigerian heavyweight Efe Ajagba, who was considered a prospect alongside Sánchez. In another solid showcase, Frank Sánchez cruised to a unanimous decision victory where he also managed to knock Ajagba down.
He continued his winning streak with his next match in January of 2022 when he easily disposed of veteran Christian Hammer by unanimous decision once more.
Frank Sánchez went on to record a three-match winning streak following his match with Hammer; recording one TKO victory in 2022 against Carlos Negron, one KO win against Daniel Martz in April of 2023, and another stoppage/RTD victory against Scott Alexander on September 30th, also in 2023.
Continuing to remain active in the latter portion of 2023, Sánchez maintained his unbeaten record with a TKO victory over New Zealander Junior Fa who he stopped in the 7th round of their December 23rd fight.
Boxing Style

Raised in the traditional Cuban boxing style like the rest of his countrymen, Frank Sánchez has developed great footwork, accuracy and technique; as a result he has stood out with his stamina, defense and jab.
Though he doesn’t stand out with his power like most other heavyweights, his KO percentage of 65% suggests he is – at the very least – not a soft puncher. Frank Sánchez has also managed to carve out a relatively damage-free career for himself, managing to notably make it out of decision fights with fewer bumps than most of his peers.
At the young age of 30 he is still improving, and as recently he has been taken under the wing of renowned coach Eddy Reynoso under who he has managed to sharpen some of his boxing fundamentals.
