British heavyweight (200+ lbs) Derek Chisora (36-13, 23 KO’s) has clearly reached the twilight of his years in boxing, but following a win over Otto Wallin earlier this year for the IBF mandatory position, Chisora will be aiming to end his career on the highest note possible; a world title.
According to Queensberry Promotions chairman Frank Warren, Chisora’s current status as the IBF mandatory will result in the IBF ordering Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KO’s) to face Derek Chisora:
“Chisora is an IBF mandatory,” Warren said in a conversation with Sky Sports.
“He won it in his last fight and everyone knew what the fight was going to be for. He is the mandatory to our man, ‘Dangerous Dan [Dubois]’, so that’s the position he’s in.”
Dubois, 27, only completed a voluntary defense against Anthony Joshua last September, which would make a mandatory bout overdue according to the IBF’s rules:

Despite his age, Chisora is currently on an unprecedented run, managing to first defeat former highly-rated British contender Joe Joyce by unanimous decision (UD) last July, before he further upset the scorecards with with a points victory over Otto Wallin (27-3, 15 KO’s) in February. Combined with a win over Gerald Washington in 2023, Chisora is currently on a three-match winning streak, with all the results having ended in a UD.
