The September 21st Wembley card, headlined by Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois, will feature a star-studded undercard showcasing prominent British fighters. This event, connected to Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Season, will see multiple promotions collaborate, including Boxxer, which will make its promotional debut on a Riyadh Season card.

Today’s press conference [June 26th] held at the Wembley Arena in London confirmed Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KO’s) to have been elevated to International Boxing Federation (IBF) heavyweight champion following the relinquishment of the title by Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KO’s). September 21st is marked as the official date where Dubois will defend his title against countryman Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KO’s).

The promotions involved include Matchroom Boxing, Queensberry Promotions, Boxxer and Wasserman Boxing.

General Entertainment Authority (GEA), headed by the influential Turki Alalshikh, will be involved with the card―which will be featured in Saudi Arabia’s annual Riyadh Season. It presents the second event this year where Riyadh Season will sponsor an event outside of Saudi Arabia, with the August 3rd Los Anageles card set to be the first event where Riyadh Season aims to stamp its brand internationally.

Notably, the entire card is filled with British fighters to present a rare but significant all-British card featuring some of the best boxers that the United Kingdom has produced. The main event will showcase a world heavyweight title bout between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois, while at light-heavyweight (175 lbs) English contender Joshua Buatsi (18-0, 13 KO’s) and Scottish contender Willy Hutchinson (18-1, 13 KO’s) will compete in a mandated title fight for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) interim title.

At super featherweight (130 lbs), IBF champion Anthony Cacace (22-1, 8 KO’s) will be defending his title for the first time against former featherweight (126 lbs) world champion Josh Warrington (31-3-1, 8 KO’s). The International Boxing Organization (IBO) has also been made available for their fight.

Two middleweight (160 lbs) bouts are also set to occur on the September 21st:

Lastly, a non-title bout between British combatants Mark Chamberlain (16-0, 12 KO’s) and Josh Padley (14-0, 4 KO’s), forming a fitting addition to the card as the two relatively lesser-known fighters gain the opportunity to showcase their talent on one of the biggest stages of their careers.
