A title fight and an elite British opponent will mark the debut of Joshua Buatsi (19-1, 13 KO’s) with Queensberry Promotions as the light-heavyweight (175 lbs) contender prepare to face countryman Zach Parker (26-1, 18 KO’s) in a fight for the vacant WBO International title.

The two fighters will be headlining a Queensberry card that will see former world title challenger Lyndon Arthur (24-3, 16 KO’s) face fellow Brit Bradley Rea (21-1, 10 KO’s) compete for the EBU European title in the same 175 lbs division as the main event.

Buatsi’s move to Queensberry Promotions was confirmed earlier this month following the expiration of his contract with Boxxer, and officially kickstarts Buatsi’s attempts to climb up the rankings following a competitive defeat to current WBO interim 175-pound champion Callum Smith on February 22nd.

Parker, 31, is best known for an ill-timed injury he suffered during a 2022 bout against John Ryder that forced him to retire during the match. A super middleweight (168 lbs) contender at the time of his first career loss, Parker transitioned to the light heavyweight division where her recorded an unbeaten four-match winning streak, with two wins coming by way of a knockout (KO) and technical knockout (TKO).

The possibility of the winners of the Buatsi-Parker and Arthur-Rea being matched against each other further remains on the periphery ― if the Buatsi-Parker winner will not be able to secure a fight against the Benavidez-Yarde fight on November 22nd which will see the WBC title on the line.
